Fertility, Perinatal and Parental Support

Fertility, perinatal care and support for parents is an area I am deeply passionate about.

Over the last two years I have been working with a charity supporting parents during the perinatal period and beyond.

Trying to conceive; experiencing fertility challenges; being pregnant; giving birth and parenting can bring up a range of emotions and feelings.

Equally, deciding whether you would like to become a parent or knowing it is not something for you can also bring a range of emotions.

Many of these feelings are completely natural to experience. However, if you are finding that any of these feelings are impacting negatively on your mental health and day to day life, having space to talk this through could help.

For some people, it might be the first time experiencing these feelings, while for others it might trigger historic wounds or emotions. Counselling can provide a safe, confidential space to explore any of these feelings. You are not alone and help is available.

If you feel you might be experiencing postpartum psychosis, please contact the NHS for emergency medical support.
